THE DAY HAS ARRIVED
We left home at 3:30 (Ruby was pleased as she got her walk) and made our way to the deep south, not quite, Kalk Bay actually.
The weather down south was windy and a bit misty but thankfully cool after the hot morning.
We walk along the the coast in the direction of Clovelly - the sea was full of white horses. It was interesting as one usually walks in the direction of Muizenberg. Around the corner was this lovely tidal pool called "Wooly's"
We turned around and made our way back to Kalk Bay
to the Olympia Cafe for well deserved light refreshments.
Sucking lemon
Karen did not know that the lemon was meant for the bottle!
Last Choc brownie for Theresa
Then off to Kalky's for some fine fish. We loved the colourful, salty and sticky vibe of the place.
Our Hake and chips was "take your front teeth out" delicious

9 More Sleeps
The 15th is nine sleeps away for our next adventure. If it tops the first we are in for some fun outings. No pressure Graham. But hey, the first outing we had rain and did this dampen the spirit? Just goes to show whatever the weather we are off to see the best the Cape has to offer. (Reminds me of an old camp fire song)
Thank you Cape Point Vineyards for providing such a scenic venue with vibe.

Cape Point Vineyards, Noordhoek - January 2014
This was our first trip, organised by David - the Cape Point Vineyards in Noordhoek.
A spectacular setting overlooking the beautiful wide expanse of Noordhoek Beach. Rollling lawns to relax on, gazing at the lake sipping wine - after wandering around the market stalls selling an endless array of foods - pancakes, lasagne, curries, paella, pizza, lamb - the list goes on.
The foodstalls are self-supporting with the friendliest of service by everyone working there.
No cover charge - just drive in, settle on the lawn or at one of the tables, admire your surroundings and watch the sun set.
A perfect start to our adventure.

INTRODUCTION
So the four of us, Karen, David, Graham and myself, have decided to rediscover our beautiful city - the amazing Cape Town.
Each month, one of us will arrange the day - it could be to somewhere we have not been before, or somewhere that it's time to revisit.
Cape Town has so many incredible places to visit, from the seaside, to the mountain, to the wine farms, to markets, to historical places, city tours, busrides, the penguins, shopping, famous landmarks etc - you can be busy or you can chill at one of the countless restaurants by the sea, or in the city and watch the sun go down.
So 2014 has begun.
